Marc A. Bongiorno
Tax and Financial Consultant
Marc Bongiorno has a strong record of accomplishment in the tax planning and financial consulting field. In his management of client assets, he specializes in personal income tax preparation and is the supervisor of compliance for the entire company.
As a public speaker and educator Marc conducts numerous workshops in the areas of tax planning, estate planning, long-term care, investment strategies, and related topics. The seminars and workshops he delivers provide valuable information to members of labor unions, senior citizens organizations, women's groups, religious groups, and civic associations. The information he provides has the potential to improve the quality of the financial lives of each and every audience member.
Marc's goal as a professional is to teach his clients how they can potentially achieve financial independence by educating them on how to reduce their tax liability, build and manage their assets, and set the groundwork for financially independent retirement and estate planning. By challenging conventional practices and exploring new paths, Marc strives to provide his clients with insight and creative alternatives to financial planning.
We find that many people rely on others to plan for their future. Unfortunately, not taking an active role in the family finances can be a devastating mistake. Helping my clients try to avoid such a fate, to retire in comfort and with dignity, brings me immense pleasure and professional satisfaction. I believe the key to a successful retirement is to be proactive and plan ahead.
In addition to concerns about retirement, Marc also focuses on helping parents develop methods and strategies to pay for their children's college education. Clearly, this is a task made more daunting by the ever-skyrocketing costs of a college education.
At first glance, it looks like an insurmountable task but with smart investment strategies, wise tax planning, and knowledge of government programs, it becomes very possible.
After completing his studies at Stony Brook University in the early 1990's, he began his career working as a tax and financial advisor for an income tax and financial consulting firm. Because of his strong leadership, natural aptitude, and a desire to excel, he was soon promoted to a supervisor of compliance, where he was responsible for managing and training a group of financial advisors. As his career progessed, his vision became clear: along with two of his colleagues he formed the group Metropolitan Capital Tax & Wealth Management.
In addition to his committment to his clients and his dedication to his work, he continuously strives to give something back to the community. In 2001, he served as a committee member for the Long Island Chapter of the Diabetes Research Institute where he helped raise millions of dollars towards finding a cure for one of the most dreadful diseases known today.
I think each of us is obligated to use whatever talents we have to make this world a better place.
Marc holds Series 7, 24, 53, 63, and 65 registrations; and a New York State Health & Life Insurance License. He is also a member of the National Association of Tax Preparers.
